Pnoesis - Specialized Medical Practice


The examinations carried out in the office by the Pulmonologist are:


  • Respiratory Functional Exploration (FRE), comprising:


- Spirometry (calculation of air volumes and respiratory flow rates)

- Plethysmography (calculation of static lung volumes that cannot be mobilized)

- Diffusion of carbon monoxide (DLCO) which reflects the gas transfer capacity in the alveoli


*** NB: EFR does not involve any particular risk. To obtain reliable results, it is recommended not to smoke and not to take any bronchodilator less than 4 hours before the examination.



  • Diurnal oxymetry, with the possibility of performing nocturnal oxymetry registration


  • Exhaled fraction of nitric oxide (FENO)


  • PRICK Allergic skin tests


  • Polysomnography and Polygraphy to be organized at home with our own equipment and expertise in analysis and interpretation of results, or in a hospital environment with our collaborators



Additional respiratory examinations can be organized by the team in a hospital environment:


  • Ergospirometry (respiratory stress test)


  • Bronchial endoscopy


  • Histamine broncho-provocation test
